This past Wednesday, March 18th, we officially launched the Sustainable Canada Dialogues‘ Acting on Climate Change Report/Agir Sur Les Changements Climatiques in Montreal at the Americana 2015 conference. This Action Plan represents an unprecedented collaboration of over 60 scholars from across Canada, representing numerous disciplines, to come to consensus on what can be done to mitigate climate change and support a thriving Canada.
This launch event was incredibly successful, bringing together scholars, scientists, decision-makers, industry leaders, and business representatives from across the country and internationally to talk climate action and to share solutions. Our report and collaboration also made world-wide news, being featured on the front page of the Vancouver Sun, in the Globe & Mail, in Science News, the Guardian, and the Huffington Post, to name but a few.
